Well, he said she hasn’t come back, but that if she does, he’ll show her the cat with his wife which will hopefully preclude loony woman from cutting and running. What more is there to do now?

Seriously, this sounds about like the only thing that could convince the woman. That or, like someone said above, her cat was one gender while yours is the other.

It sounds like she’s pled her case to someone who is enabling her fantasy. Tread carefully and be polite. People are fucking weird.
