There have been times when an auto withdrawal comes through before I can get to the bank with a deposit, or before I transfer money over, and my balance shows a negative and I have heart failure. But, if I get money in the account on the same day the account registers the credits first and then the debits, even if the debit came out at 9 am and the deposit didn’t go in until 1 pm. Yeah, my credit union was really good about stuff like that. I switched last year, though, after having an account with them since I was a baby, due to a particularly heinous loan officer who seemed to actually take delight in denying my request, by being as sarcastic and patronizing as possible, and scolding me for wasting her time. Maybe I should just start burying my money in my backyard, from now on! 😛 ---

Our local cheap gas place has the same problem - squeegees that have heads that spin around, etc. And they usually only have one for the whole gas station, and they don’t always bother with frills like water or antifreeze/water mix in winter. ---

This is an awesome day to work at a tax business. Just awesome. Man, let me tell you how awesome it is. So awesome that we have had 56 calls today thus far. . . and we don’t even prepare taxes. Guess how many of those people had the actual kind of tax issues we deal with? Did you guess ‘zero’? Because the answer is zero. Oh, and this just happened: Me: “Hello, [Business Name].” Chic: “Like, I need help calculating something.” Me: “Ok. . . how can I help you?” Chic: “How do I know, like, how much I make in a year?” Me: “Your employer should have given you a W2 for your income last year.” Chic: “No! Like, how much my take home is!” Me: “Right. . . that’s what is on your W2.” Chic: “No! Like on each CHECK! Total for the year!” Me: “Uh, well, I guess you could add up your paystubs.” Chic: _getting exasperated, like I’m the idiot_ “But HOW?” Me: _realizing I’m going to have to explain addition a grown woman_ “By. . . taking the number on each pay stub and adding it to the next. And so on. If you made $1000 one month and $2000 the next month, $1000 plus $2000 is $3000.” And before you suggest it: I also tried, somewhere in there, to get her to just look at the year to date section of her last pay stub. Nope. Just nope. Eventually I figured out that she started a new job and wanted to know what her take home pay would be. This was a whole new exciting endeavor, that ended with me just repeating, “Go talk to your payroll department” over and over. ---

I just used IE to Google a question I had about a Chrome function. 😕 Also, mini-pitting me for a :smack: moment and, while on a Big Important Conference Call, I tried to mute (damn noisy co-workers) and _ **put the whole BICC on hold** _, thus treating a bunch of higher-ups to hold music and seeing them laughing (silently) on their webcams. ---
