# Survey: Who can't stand their S.O.'s Driving?

Actually, turning your head to check before changing lanes is a good idea. Most cars have a blind spot which you can’t see just by looking in the mirror.  
**featherlou** : Regarding my statement about women being more hesitant drivers than men: yes it was a generalization, but I do think there is some truth in it.

More sweeping generalizations:

More men drive fast, tailgate, and are aggresive on the road.

More women are careful drivers, although I find that many women _are_ more hesitant. Especially when it comes to pulling out at junctions, overtaking etc.

See, I’m not saying men are better than women. Sorry if my post came across as offensive, it wasn’t meant to be.

**samarm** , I realize it is a good idea to check the blind spot, I check my blind spot too. What I am saying is he actually turns all the way around and looks out the back window. Sorry, I should have made myself more clear.
