[spoiler]It was Knobb from Soup Guy. According to the TV Guide preview, “somebody” gets stung by a stingray. Looks like he just stepped on it. Definitely an opportunity for another golden shower, though the stinger could be a lot worse than the urchin John stepped on last year.

**LCC** , you have GOT to be kidding me! This whole Ted v. Ghandia thing has been fabulous drama!

The challenges sucked, I’ll certainly give you that. But the conflicts in the tribes were pretty good television.

I was able to figure out that Helen had voted for Ghandia due to the editing of the show. After they got done voting, I looked at my watch and realized they hadn’t left enough time for a tiebreaker and knew, as minty put it so well, that Ghandia was ghone.

I was surprised when they picked Robb for the tangram challenge. As soon as Probst said it was a mental challenge, I figured they’d sent him back to beach to count the bananas or something.

I was also surprised to see Robb’s apparent religious beliefs get shown for the first time. “Yo, Big Dude in the Sky, thanks for the bananas. You da man.”

I noticed for the second time that Shii Ann was picked to sit out a physical challenge. It appears she’s regarded as physically weak by her team mates. Maybe this will help her, if she looks less threatening as an individual competitor after the merge.

Stefanie? She’s a vote off waiting to happen. I think someone should have told her that sullen loner isn’t a good role when you’re participating in a popularity contest.

We all know the previews are overhyped. My guess is Robb gets a minor bit from a fish or cuts his foor on a rock. The other “event” appears to be the loss of some item with each individual being offered something (maybe food in exchange for luxury items).

Also, given M.B.'s history of bait-and-switch, it’s sure that whatever it was that they were seeming to do on the preview is exactly not what is going to happen next week.

Besides, who would want to switch? Ted-Brian-Clay control CJ and both Helen and Jan would be sure to get the vote if they headed over to SG, given that tribe’s demographics. I could see Shii-Ann and/or Stephanie in a more advantageous position if they switched over.

First: Ding, dong the witch is gone! Woo Hoo! 😃

Second: not too boring, IMHO- I enjoyed watching the Ted and Ghandia implosion, and Ghandia’s hamfisted playing of Helen and Jan. Of course, it got her nowhere in the end.

Third- looks like this year’s switch is coming. Jan may take it, as she is clearly next otherwise. She wouldn’t last long in the other tribe either though.

Fourth- as predicted, the rigging of the immunity challenges to protect team moron from any physical immunity challenges continues. However, with Ghandia the rocket scientist on the board they still lost badly.

Fifth- Ghandia and Jan holding on to the dummy to get pulled up-- nice.

Sixth- Brian won’t win- as his tribe will get picked off after the merge. Penny looks good, as does the NY Cop.
🙂

So why did Helen vote against Ghondia? How does that strengthen her position?

I figured the 60 seconds was an offer of $10,000 to leave the island immediately. 😉

Knobb was a horse w/ the dummy. Must have felt some brotherhood w/ it.

What was with the shots of Bri in his tight shorts, staring down at the beach?

It lets the Boys’ Club know that she isn’t going to fall in with the women automatically. It gets rid of the single most divisive person in the tribe. And she knows that Jan is twice as likely to be voted off next than she is.

I don’t know, but they can keep showing Brian in his questionable swim trunks as long as they want. If only he’d kept his mouth shut about the women’s roles in the tribe, I could still indulge in my “Brian turns out to be gay and moves to Pennsylvania to carry on a torrid love affair with me” fantasy.

And won’t it be lovely if Suck Guys waits for a week for those chickens to lay eggs and they all turn out to be roosters?

First, it guarantees that the source of conflict in the tribe is gone. They’d have continued to get their butts kicked in challenges if Ghandia stayed around.

Second, Helen was presented with a choice between joining two alliances: Brian, Ted and Clay vs. Jan and Ghandia. Which would you rather stick with?

Third, it’s a sure thing. If you side with Ghandia, all you have at TC is a tie. Why take a 50-50 chance on picking the losing side when you can guarantee being on the winning side?

Chewing Gum is not looking like a winner in any respect, but this was clearly the best choice for Helen in terms of playing to win.

Yeah, I guess it makes sense in a lesser of two evils way, but I can’t see the guys accepting her. If there were no change, she would be next to go after Granny.

So, physical challenges are out, and it looks like mental challenges are no good. Looks like its time for a disgusting food challenge! What else could they do, that requires neither brawn nor brains?

I was quite amused watching Sucky Guy tribe punding those bananas. They must have forgotten that heavy doses of banana can have a “relaxing” effect on your guts. Hope they have a lot of leaves around their campsite!

I thought it was pretty funny that Clay f’ed up his “annonymous” vote.

_paraphrasing_
Jeff: “who is this supposed to be?”
Clay: “Denver Diva. That’s Ghandia. I did that”

I was expecting her to blast him in the mouth.

I couldn’t tell if Brian was joking or serious when he was going on about how now that they’re in “the jungle” primitive instincts have taken over and the men go out and fish and the women stay home and do the cooking and clean the cave. That was a great segment, particularly due to the editing: the women, cleaning shellfish while the men lounge in the murky water.
