Remember last time he played when he was all about religion? Where’s that set of holy scruples now? A direct quote from him during his first season:
“I’m just playing this game for Christ - I’m trying to play the way he would’ve played it.”
What a horrendous crock of shit - just goes to show you that he was being led around by Coach and his praying ways.
And it was absolutely the worst thing they could’ve done last night by keeping Shamar. Dude is a waste of space. Contributes nothing to camp except bad vibes. Stupid, stupid move.

On the other hand, Reynold instantly gets RHPS-style catcalls of “Douche!” and “Asshole!” in my head every time he appears onscreen. It’s like they went to central casting and asked for “superannuated frathouse prettyboy with control issues”.
Interesting.
But 6 is also 2 times 3, so what happens if in the next tribal council the 6 split their vote? In a 3-3-3 tie, with one holding an immunity idol, what happens? They might be able to flush the immunity idol without much effort.
In regards to the Hidden Immunity Idol - if it’s just going to be the person who gets lucky or spends all day looking around random places that gets the idol it’s less exciting to watch.
I’d rather have it be in a common area (or a place that requires a map to get to and an obvious amount of time away from the others) and/or need some concerted work to get - that way you have to cooperate with at least one other person or be extremely devious to figure a way to get it without the entire camp knowing. It would show some outwitting or skill rather than dumb luck.
They were apparently counting on Matt’s vote to get Shamar out and were not aware that Matt and Mike were a pair. Sherri and Laura would be far and away the frontrunners in a normal season of Survivor–they seem to know what’s going on.
We saw a bit too much of Dawn for my liking. After Lisa last season, I don’t want another season of watching someone angst.
Cochran seems to get on well with a lot of people.
I’m not really a Malcolm fan but he was a refreshingly sane break from Brandon and Phillip’s antics. Brandon is threatening more drama, but he will probably wuss out again.
I just wanna see more Brenda.
Yeah, she is a cutie. It’s a shame that she’s on a doomed tribe.
The highlight of the show thus far
I know, and this happens almost every season. A group of young pretty people group together, completely ignore they’ve alienated the rest of the tribe, who is in the majority, and then proceed to be shocked when they get ponged away.
“But we’re PRETTY! We’re the alphas in our peer group! Why don’t these olds and uglies and nerds underSTAND that?!”
And so dawns the beginning of understanding (if they have any sense whatsoever) that the world will not simply give you what you want 'cause you’re pretty or can play good basketball.
Or bitterness. A lifetime of bitterness.
As an avid Survivor watcher, I have several thoughts on this season so far. Reynold, preppy w/big ego and I hope that the ‘pretty people’ have a reality check. I read an interview with Allie where she showed no embarrassment about the pretty people alliance and actually said that just because they were attractive it didn’t mean they weren’t smart. I think I need to disagree with that.
She also said, that Reynold found the II, well before they showed it on the show, She also said that Shamar was a very disruptive tribe member and fought with everyone continually…so why didn’t they vote him off.
I’m all about Malcom, Phillip I just try to tune out. He’s an idiot. Brandon is a time bomb! I wouldn’t want to be stranded on an island with him!
The Tarsier is officially my favorite castmember this season and here are some adorable facts about it.
I just watched both episodes. I miss “God’s special little angel,” Brandon. He was stupid, but harmless. Psychotic Brandon, makes me not want to continue watching. I get enough of that crap on FB. But another part of me, wants to see him have a meltdown.
When was this season filmed? My husband jokingly, suggested that Psychotic Brandon, is a result of Obama’s reelection.
