Interesting. Presumably they started filming this one before the previous one aired, so Malcolm should be able to fly under the radar. And the Brandon vs. Philip crazy competition will be fun. ---

Am I the only one who only ever remembers 1 or 2 of the returning players at most? ---

Brandon, Malcolm, Phillip, and Cochran. Only Malcolm is remotely likable. Pretty weak list, but maybe that will make it more competitive for the “Fans” team. ETA: Also, looking at that list, I wouldn’t have much hope for Malcolm. Lots of crazy and no other strong guy to take some heat off him. ---

You have to remember Erik! He’s the guy with giant hair, who was the only male left in the original Fan vs. Favorites, who inconveniently won Immunity, then allowed himself to be convinced by the women to give it to someone else, resulting in his immediate elimination. ---

I remember the play, but I don’t remember the player, if that makes sense. The dumb guys all kind of run together for me. And all this time (I was spoiled on the cast list) I was thinking that Brenda was actually Becky (the one that made it to the end with Yul and Ozzy). She as actually pretty good. ---

If Malcolm beats the crap out of Brandon, the season will be the best _Survivor_ ever. I’m still pissed that Cochran was not the guy who invented the warp drive. ---

There are all kinds of “how the heck is that person a favorite” but I think one of the biggest is Francecsca. She was the first person voted off on her season, no one ever got to know her, there’s no way she meets the criteria of favorite. ---

I guess I watch too much Survivor, because I remember every one of the returnees. While it’s a fan vs. favorites season, it really is going to be heroes vs. villians on the returnee tribe, with only Brenda not fitting easily into either camp. Andrea, Dawn, Erik, Francesca, and Malcolm all played the good guy role exclusively, while Brandon, Corrine, Cochrane, and Philip were either evil or batshit insane. I swear that Corrine has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and I’m really looking forward to her interactions with the rest of the crazies on her tribe. It looks like the fans are back to their regular makeup with seven of the ten 30 or under and nobody older than 44. It’s a big physical advantage to the fans, with only Malcolm being a real physical threat on the favorites unless Eric has gone on a workout binge the last few years. I remember him as being quite skinny and weak. I wonder if he’s had a girlfriend yet? ---

I call it “reality show amnesia” - I’ve watched every season of Survivor and Big Brother, but only a month or two after a season ends, I’m unable to remember almost anyone on it. ---
