Coach wins the douchebag award another week. Shouldn’t ruining everyone’s dinner be a shooting offense out in the wilderness?

Pretty (and generic, IMHO) blonds do seem to have a pox on them the last season or two. Last season there were two fair ladies (Jacquie and Kelly) who a) people here mostly couldn’t tell apart, and b) were voted out relatively early. And now we have Debra and Sydney this season. Of course there was still blond Sugar last time, but she’s far from generic. And this season we still have blond Sierra, but she’s been lucky enough to be on the more winning tribe.

Not to mention that his closest ally was the prettiest girl on the tribe, and he was trying to make points with the brunette from the other tribe. It makes one wonder what part of his body he uses to think strategically.

Does anybody know what kind of spiders those are?

I’m still (patiently) waiting for someone to tell me in what part of the episode they showed the spiders.

As they should because I can’t think of a single generic blonde that actually did anything in the game.

And I think Sierra is exempt from pretty generic blonde status because she has a tinge of goth in her (just look at the black and grey striped shirt/dress) and because she’s a snarker. Generic blondes don’t snark, they bitch.

Actually, this brings up something I’d noticed – the two teams are color-coordinated this season. Jalapao is warm/earth tones, Timbira is black and blue. The producers seem to have provided appropriately colored clothing for the cast.

Or the tribes were split based on what they happened to be wearing on the truck into Brazil.

I noticed that too. It’s really helped me tell everyone apart this early in the season.

So the clothing colors the cast members happened to be wearing on Day One just happened to split the cast into two tribes with the same number of members? Sorry, I’m not buying it. The producers clothed them, or told them what colors to wear for the premiere episode.

What’s nice is that when they merge now we’ll be able to easily remember who came from what tribe.

Also, if they do merge next episode, this will be the first season since Palau without any sort of tribe switch.

If it was brief why does it play out for hours in my mind’s eye?

It looks like your typical orb-weaver, but the web looks too messy. It also looks like some sort of widow, but the web looks too neat. Not being an arachnologist, that’s about all I can say. I don’t know why they would be in a big writhing mass, sort of like when you’re lying on the couch and you get one of those tickles and you think there’s a bug…
