OK, so you meant a double flip. That makes sense then.

I still think that Sarah, Cirie and Michaela should have voted Tai out when they had his own alliance aligned to throw him under the bus. Andrea might have been mad but he was still one of the “others.” And they could have agreed to vote Zeke out next vote.

Michaela is becoming more likeable.

Agreed. I wonder if her feet are hurting her, because I kept wondering why she didn’t take her shoes off for the IC. Makes so much more sense to do that barefoot, like most of the folks.

I agree that is an amazing play, they managed to get everyone on the bottom to stab each other in the back so now there is no trust among them, breaking up a voting bloc. Tai is already paranoid in general, so now he’s going to be all spun up after seeing so many votes for him.

Smart move would’ve been Andrea (she’s definitely a bigger challenge threat than… well, probably anyone) but they went with Sierra instead. Which isn’t a bad move, but I think Andrea would’ve made more sense. Sierra really dug her own hole though, telling Sarah she had the legacy idol and would gift it to her. Why not just ask Sarah to vote you out at that point?

Also, huge laughs were had here at Tai waving at Sarah’s husband.

Yeah, I couldn’t believe she thought it was a good idea to put a reward on her own head.

What really surprised me about the episode was how straightforward the editing was. They showed us that one faction wanted to breakup Brad/Sierra and was leaning towards Brad. They showed us the other faction was leaning towards Andrea. They showed us the ‘sides’ were in flux. They showed us Sierra guaranteeing that Sarah had an extra strong reason to go after Sierra. They showed us Brad winning the Immunity Challenge.

I guess they really had no other options, what else did they have to fill the time with? Well, except for the glurge over people ‘get some love’ stuff.

Hopefully next week will be back to thrills and chills. 😉

I mean, it almost has to be, right? Assuming a Final Three, we have five more players to eliminate, and there are three Hidden Idols, one Legacy Idol, and one Vote Steal to be played. Surely wacky interactions will happen.

Final 3: Sierra, Aubrey, Michaela?

I miss challenges in which the loved ones participate.

I suspect it’s a mistake in those “dig under the log and crawl under” challenges to try to go under when you think it might barely be possible, instead of digging for a few more seconds.

I was dubious about whether Sarah could vote Sierra out and still inherit the advantage, but she pulled it off somehow.

That was one of the stupidest moves ever on Survivor. Definitely in the Top Ten. Telling someone about a idol that you can’t use tonite, then telling them if you get voted out they get that advantage.

That’s assuming she will follow through if she gets voted out immediately. Risky gamble by Sarah.

They needed to cast Shirin in this season. (from Worlds Apart and Second Chances)

That way they could have Ciera, Sierra, Cerie, Sarah, and Shirin.

Yes, pretty stupid move by Sierra.

Apparently Sarah told Michaela about Sierra’s legacy advantage, but did not tell her that it was going to be “bestowed” to Sarah (or anyone) if Sierra got voted out. Michaela most likely thinks the legacy idol is gone.

From Dalton Ross’s recap: “She told Sarah she had an advantage that provided immunity at the final 6, but that if she was voted out she could give it to someone else, and that someone else would be Sarah. So, in essence, she said: “If you vote me out of the game I am going to give you immunity.” WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!? You are basically telling someone to vote you out!!! Just writing those words down is getting me so angry all over again that I am resorting to hitting caps lock buttons while throwing out multiple exclamation points. Somebody stop me before I start talking to cats!”

This is the nightmare scenario and maybe the death knell for extra immunity. What are there, four left with four chances to use them? Tai has two, and probably wont need them both, so he could give one of them away. That means half the field has a chance to use immunity (although Tai I could see eating both of his in a blindside.) He doesn’t seem too aware of what is going on. At least he’s kept them a secret.

That’s too much of a disadvantage for those without one. The three pillars of the game (Outlast, etc.) become an afterthought.

Final Tribal Council: Why did you \_\_\_\_\_\_?

Tai: I don’t know
Troyzan: I don’t know
Michaela: Shut up bitch!

I dislike those. It makes it too screwed up that one person’s loved one is their grandma and the other person’s loved one is their Olympic athlete son.

You have to dig a shallow but long trench. People instinctively go too deep and short.

On another site someone suggested that she should have explicitly used it as leverage, threatening to give it to Culpepper if they didn’t keep her around. I thought that made a lot of sense.

How’s that fundamentally different from the different ability levels of the players themselves? Production could keep that in mind and try to balance out the pairings when selecting which loved ones will visit.

[/QUOTE]

Well, the very fact that they aren’t the players themselves. The loved ones are a reward. I don’t mean to say it’s totally wrong but I find it a little distasteful that they are essentially asking the players to compose a list of “loved ones” that requires them to consider game ability over how much they want a visit from them.

Is it just me, or is the “here’s your loved one” scene getting longer and longer each season? It used the just be a quick “have a hug” now it’s a slow introduction to every one followed by “Tell me what your husband means to you.”

Also, Zeke’s absence reveals the dearth of great talkers left in the show. Tribal was so boring with everyone saying plainly basic things. Step it up Aubrey.
