Not the Corvette! _ **Not the Corvette!** _ Won’t someone think of the children?!? Yeah, I love him too. Especially:

And I hope he actually does. Because if anyone in this whole wide world needs an ass-kicking, it is Rob C. Repeatedly and violently. And Ian might not look like much, but he’s wiry. And cute. And … _what?_ Oh, the past, sorry. Also, why in the “hay-yill” are they letting James post? Is he going to complain again some more about getting his ass whomped by the “homa-sekshul”?

> What surprises me most about this season is that they’re doing two things that Jeff Probst has come out publicly and said he _hated_; one was the “inland” location of Survivor: Africa, and the other was the “Outkasts.” As much as I like Stephenie, I think bringing her and Bobby Jon back is no different from that stupid Outkast twist. Actually, yes it is – it’s worse, because in this case, the new people in this season have to put up with returning players who were voted out not by them, but by completely different players. Not to mention the fact that their presence depleted the available spots for new people to have an opportunity at the million bucks. I really, really hate this twist and I hope Bobby Jon and Stephenie get voted out as soon as possible. We’ve seen them play, they’ve had their chance and failed. Get them off my screen.

I have heard them talk about this as if it were landlocked.

What was the huge body of water that they were canoeing on? At the very least, we have enough water to have the ever popular water challenge.

As for bringing back Survivors, I doubt Probst was happy about it.

I know I wasn’t.

I think the resurection of Steph and Bobby Jon is an admission that the reward of the campsite in Palau was such a huge benefit to the winners that it really skewed the game unfairly. That, and the decision not to merge or re-align the tribes made for a lot of TV that was basically kicking folks when they were already down. For me, Palau was painful to watch. I do hope that we never have a show as lop-sided as that again.

That being said, I don’t especially like Steph and Bobby Jon being back. New game, new players, new chances to soar or sink (Hi, Judd). They should have saved them for the next All-Stars.

I think there was so much time spent on the 11-mile hike that there wasn’t time enough to get a good sense of just who these people are and what their agendae might be. That being said, here’s my take on what’s going on (and what might happen):Gary , I believe, is this year’s Sarge. He’ll stick around till the merge because they need his leadership, but he’ll eventually be seen as a threat and will probably be the first member of the jury. Margaret will probably make it to the final four. The whole “Florence Nightingale” thing will work in her favor, especially if she tends to the maladies of the better players. Bobby Jon is gone at Nakum’s next TC. Jim’s injury gave him a very brief stay, but unless he pulls off an impressive showing at a challenge next week (which I doubt), he and his newly bulked-up physique will go the way of the Mayans.Steph will survive a while if Yaxha splits along gender lines–in the beginning, the women seemed to love having her there, but that one guy (Rafe?) made that idiotic statement that as long as she’s there, he’ll never win the million dollars. Brandon (the farmer) could be a wild card. If he doesn’t make himself as annoying as James the redneck was in Palau, he’ll make it past the merge. Other than that, as I said, I didn’t get a real good read from the others. Hopefully, this week will be more telling.

I notice they didn’t actually show us the palatial rooms they’re staying in at the ruins…
