Of the returning players, Jonathan Penner and especially Yau-Man are going to be in the most early trouble. Both are viewed as intelligent. Jonathan is viewed as a dangerous schemer, and Yau-Man as a genuine threat to win the game should he ever make the jury. I’d be surprised if one of the two of them isn’t the first off the Favorites tribe. Why vote off Jon Dalton? He’s a horrible human being and he will make my teeth hurt the entire time he’s onscreen, but voting him off serves no purposes whatsoever; he can’t possibly win the game under any circumstances, so as long as you keep him on a leash you can use his vote for a TC or two before you dispatch him. ---

Oh, man, I am so glad you started this thread! I had no idea the new season was starting already. And unfortunately, I agree that Dalton will be around a while – as long as his tribemates can possibly stand him. Because he can’t win. ---

There is a poll on the CBS site right now asking which of the “favorites” you would vote off first. Way out in the lead is Johnny Fairplay, with 70% of the votes. Second place goes to Johnathan, with 6%. All the other favorites were in the single digit vote percentages as well. Cracks me right up. ---

This hadn’t even occured to me, but my paper this morning said that both groups are expecting to see a mirror image of themselves - the fans expect it to be all fans, and the All Stars expect it to be all All Stars. I wonder if this means that they will be sequestered as groups until the first challenge? That would make for an awesome scene, wouldn’t it? ---
