I am so glad Redemption Island is gone.

If Survivor is anything like Amazing Race, they let the players pick their own “label”. I remember people thinking the “Virgins” teams on Amazing Race way back when was a mean label forced on them by the producers because of their aggressively pro-virginity stance, but it was what they chose to be referred to as!
Nope, it means that two people that are specifically introduced in the video aren’t listed on that page, like I mentioned. My guess is that they’re the first two people out, and that there’s a dual-elimination first episode. Again, speculation.
I’ve got to say this does look like Probst & Co. have addressed the major complaints viewers have had these past few seasons. No returnees, no Redemption Island, and the added dimension of increased tribal contretemps with everybody on the same beach. This season has a lot of potential.
Probst said in one of the articles that Redemption Island could still come back again in another season, but I think in a year he’ll be able to say “Yeah, it was a really bad idea.”

As someone opined upthread, at least the tribes can be easily differentiated.
