Great start. I already hate a couple of people, and they dumped the most annoying right away. Doesn’t look like there’s another Kenny, who I hated more than any other player in a loong time. ---

I think Sandy knew that a pace involved stepping, she just didn’t know the size of the steps. I don’t hate her yet. Although those wimpering sounds she was making while digging for the HII, creeped me out. ---

I was surprised that Sandy isn’t gone, but I’ll blame the editors. Sandy came across as, hmmm… nuts. Batshit crazy. I thought she might be okay for a bit, until she couldn’t see a lone palm tree right in front of her, or count ten paces. Very very very annoying, and I won’t miss listening to her. Characters I like so far: JT (Rancher guy) Sierra (The Sick Girl) Not so much: Benjamin – this season’s Ace. Withering attitude, he seems like a puffed up jerk. Tyson – I can’t say why, but he creeps me out. I thought it was interesting that Jeff (Army guy) is concealing his occupation. Probably a smart move. I didn’t gather much more about him this episode, but he’s one to watch. ---

I think his name is Jerry. He definitely intrigues me. Usually the guy that says “I’m used to being a leader but I’ll try not to step on any toes” ends up being the first one to do just that. He’s pretty good at staying in the background. It looked like he was about to go crazy while the other guys were reading the map. ---

Another vote for Sandy not having a clue as to what a “pace” is, or what a “lone palm tree” is. Sierra had the right idea: stash the clue and look later, after doing some ingratiating hut-building. (I was surprised they let someone with strep throat play. They could take out the entire tribe) Since I’m too lazy to look it up, what did Taj do that constitutes being a “former pop star”? And I saw the first vote fake-out coming a mile away, because they did the exact same thing on The Bachelor this season. On Day 1, the girls all voted for someone to “leave” that night. Did I say “leave”? Ha ha…I meant, leave with a rose. And now she knows who her friends are. ---
