SUV without being an SUV

Nope, the Transit Connect has a wheelbase of 114" (and a shorter version with a wheelbase of 105"). The Sprinter is a much larger vehicle. I don’t think I messed that up.

The Transit Connect is a relatively unique product. Closest analogy in the US market I can think of is the Grumman “USPS” Long Life Vehicle:

The actual Ford Transit is very close in size and function to the Mercedes Sprinter.
Note the wheelbase, per wikipedia:
Wheelbase 147.6 in (3,749 mm) – 170.0 in (4,318 mm)

Ah, I may have used “Transit” when I meant “Transit Connect” but that’s what most folks around here call them. Perhaps that will change with the “Transit” arrives.
