Two days til **swampfest**! I’m all excited! I get to skulk around underground Seattle and have dinner with a buncha Dopers. **WOOHOO!!!** ---

Yeah! My male harem may include hubby after all. He should be finished with class by 5:00. Unfortunately, the class is hands-on in High Angle and Confined Space Rescue. He might be a bit whupped, so no guarranty. I’m excited to meet some other Dopers. I’ve intended to go to Tuesday Night Trivia many times, but it hasn’t worked out. Just so I actually end up with the right group of crazy peeps, I’ll be the fat, 60ish, woman with reddish brown shoulder length hair. Jason has a mostly shaved head, Walter is thin and angular. Hubby very fair 6’2" and looks like a firefighter. Since we’re driving together, I’m not bringing my best feature… the 'Vette. 😃 We’ll see you at 6:30ish at Chinook’s If we get there before you guys, we’ll grab a table. Shall I make a SDMB placard for the table? ---

Very very tired. I flew in from D.C. last night. And boy are my arms tired! K. I got me an e/mail from **cherry** and forwarded my previous one to her. And I think that’s it! Just in case Earthlink has taken down my ‘site,’ I’m 6’ tall, short brown hair, goatee, glasses. I look thin-ish with a shirt on, and I won’t be going shirtless, so it’s all good. 2 days ‘n’ countin’. ---

Heh, that’s great, because I’ll be the fat mid-20s woman with short dark red hair. 😃 And a placard might not be a bad idea, Chinook’s can get a little noisy. Maybe we should decide on a name for our party, and whoever gets there first will get us on the list, and those who arrive later can just ask for the name? I suggest either “swampbear” or “Cecil Adams.” Or we could do something completely different. 🙂 ---

Forecast says it’ll be rainy Saturday and apparently all week. Just my luck. Guess that means I’ll need my swanky overcoat and an umbrella, huh? I propose, since we’ve already been using it and all, that maybe the first to get there and get a table let em know that others will be arriving and will ask for the **swampfest** table. They’ll figure out we’re weird anyways, so we might as well remove all doubt from the start, I say. 😃 ---

There is a difference, and only a Washingtonian would know this. Do not carry an umbrella; you will marked as an out of towner for sure! 😛😉 I think the “swampfest” table is a good idea. For those of us meeting in Pioneer Square for the tour, how are we gonna know we’re all part of Swampfest, other than those that have seen pictures of each other? Or, have we all seen pictures of each other now? We are still meeting in front of Doc Maynard’s right? ---

No umbrella if you want to look like you belong here. 😉 I kid, sometimes we Washingtonians break out umbrellas too; usually on really windy and rainy days so the umbrella can flip upside out and be useless anyway. As far as “tawks lak thi-yus” goes, there are a lot folks here that talk like that. We are, after all, surrounded by military bases and naval stations. We get quite the mix of folks up in these parts. ---

Ok, fine then. Just look for the fat guy with the gray beard and bushy eyebrows that “tawks lak thi-yus.” That oughta narrow it down. ---
