# Sweating Toxins

I have heard people comment that it is good to sweat because it is one way that your body expels toxins. Can this be true? I thought perpiration mostly consisted of water and salts, and that its main purpose is to help cool the body. Does anyone know more about this?

No, it’s not really true. Toxins are removed via the liver and kidneys, not the sweat glands.
