THanks **margin**. Most of the threads \*\*Lib \*\*enters into end with him being handed his hat. It was refreshing to see it done this time by someone from such an honorable and unassaible position, and so thoroughly and finally. Not much he can do from here but retreat, or sputter on ineffectually. ---

It sounded petty and vindictive. But the “war crimes were committed on a daily basis” ads are a whole 'nuther thing. This is going to hurt Kerry, and I don’t see a good way for him to counter them. He’s already on record as saying something to the effect that he “probably used overly harsh language in his testimony”, so he can’t really come out and say he stands by every word he uttered. In a race this close, something like this could tip the balance. ---
