Volume of a cylinder; what grade of math is this?

For all the information on that page, I don’t see the formula for a cylinder anywhere. Did I miss it? It just jumps from Input to this:

[(16 128 * Pi) / (11)] gallons

While this gives the right answer, I don’t see where they get the numbers they’re using - other than Pi.

And I don’t see how it would be helpful in anyway to someone who didn’t already know the required math to begin with.

Am I just stoopid? Of course I understand the simple math of the OP but don’t get that page at all.
