Who? A beautiful former coworker of mine named Nadia, but not for the reason you think. I’m transgendered, so… What? I’d go on a buying spree for all the clothes that only work for small, thin bodies–tight dresses, bikinis, etc. Every day at the beach and every night going out. The interesting thing is a lot of my TG friends who got “bottom surgery” had to rebuy a lot of their clothes after the transition, even if they were fans of loose clothing and jeans. How long? Only about a month. Although I certainly enjoy being and presenting as a woman, I’m still mainly male at heart. After a month, I’d be itching to return to the convenience of being a man. ---

Does the OP perhaps have in mind “Unready to Wear”, by Kurt Vonnegut? The final step is to realize you need not bother with bodies at all; they are lame and old-fashioned, and more trouble than they are worth. ---

So it seems the parameters are: The swap is mutual - you don’t just take over someone else’s body, they also get yours. The swap does not require consent or foreknowledge. The swap is of indeterminate length - presumably, you, the effecter of the swap, have the power to dictate when, or if, the swap is reversed. The swap is of consciousnesses - a swap doesn’t cause me to gain the other person’s memories or abilities, or vice versa. It sounds kind of like the Anne Rice novel, “The Tale of the Body Thief”. Well, I have a family and a job, so going off into someone else’s body and leaving mine to that person’s could be a serious problem. Is “the power” like a superpower, that I could exercise repeatedly? Like, could I swap with someone for a few hours every weekend, swap back, and repeat? Or is this like a one-shot genie wish that I have to parameterize beforehand, including setting the timer or conditions for reversing the swap? And do we have to physically touch or be proximate at all in order to do the swap, or can it be done at a distance, even without seeing the other person or where they are/what they are doing? ---

I’m sick of being tall and fit. I’d love to be schlumpy and “normal” and be able to walk into a bar or restaurant without everyone staring at me, or worse, hitting on me. I guess I want to be anonymous, and be able to observe a scene without affecting it… ---

I’m far from perfect but I’ll stick to what I got. What would be interesting to see is if switching with someone who is really good at playing an instrument would make me any better at it. They have the nimble fingers but I’ve got the mind that keeps getting in the way. Anyhow, I’d prefer to switch back before anyone needs to use the turlet. ---

If you switched bodies with someone else would you still be you? What is the mechanism that allows this body switching to occur? This sounds just like the Star Trek transporter problem. It would have to kill you first. I prefer not to be killed. Therefore, I decline your offer to switch bodies. ---

There’s a woman in the personnel heiarchy in the company my cafe is now owned by. I’ve had interaction with her and feel she’s a bad person, a real weasel. Because of some back stabbing things she’s done I’d like to exchange bodies with her, and have her do something that would get her fired asap. Then I’d switch back and watch the fun.
