The story made [TV Week magazine,](http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/2013/11/well-known-tv-psychic-dies.php) although it’s a rehash of the CNN article. It was one of about 5 headline news items TV Week emailed me this week, so they thought it important. ---

Now that Sylvia can no longer follow through on her acceptance of the JREF [Million Dollar Challenge,](http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html) I guess we’ll have to rely on (a much younger and more watchable) [Leigh Catherine](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psBCgJhQDVQ), who has stated that she would accept a ride to the airport after the show and was confident she could “absolutely” win the prize. The TV show offered to fly her to Florida for the test, with a camera crew, at their expense. She must apply first. I wonder how that’s going? Sylvia never got to that stage. (Important MDC stuff is near the end of that video.) ---

Especially since, if I’ve got my dates right, this’d be well into the George Noory years, and well… he ain’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Normally, in these kinds of threads, I note that every man’s death lessens me. I still believe that. But I’ll note that it’s a bit harder in this case than it is in the usual cases of mass-murdering fuckheads and the like. I’ll settle for trying to keep **FriarTed** ’s friend’s comment in mind. ---
