[QUOTE=Colibri]
Well well well. To my surprise, there actually is support in the literature for this. The West African Reed Frog _Hyperolius viridiflavus_ has been found to undergo spontaneous [sex reversal](http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0045-8511%2819891227%293%3A1989%3A4%3C1024%3APSCITR%3E2.0.CO%3B2-S&size=LARGE), though it was from female to male. Otherwise such sequential hermaphroditism is known in vertebrates only in fish. So there actually is a small amount of logic to this one.

Which is funny, because the dinosaurs were ALSO changing from female to male. I wonder why Dr. Grant would say “male to female” in the script.

Couldn’t find my copy of JP last night, but I’ll take **mstay** and **Darwin’s Finch** ’s word on it. Coulda sworn that they glossed over the "frog DNA’ explanation in the movie, but I stand by my assertion that it’s still pretty dumb.
