Any consideration to adding a tagging feature to threads? It looks to be a good way to find common threads in a snap. ---

When the Board’s software was recently upgraded, the “tags” feature was enabled. Abuse ensued and as there seemed to be no way to limit or track who could add or delete tags, it was disabled. ---

In the [previous thread discussing tags](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=486329), there was only one incident of abuse actually mentioned. It sounded like they were left on accidentally. They weren’t ready to handle it, so they turned tags back off. **TubaDiva** didn’t completely shut the door on enabling tags, but they have other things to deal with first. Also, [according to this thread over at the vBulletin forums](http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275533) it is possible to knowg who left a tag.
