After a lot of thought, I’ve decided I need to take some off-time and get some things straightened out (my meds for one). I’m pissing off too many of you and that’s something I didn’t want to do here, and it’s like I’m returning to the old Quasi of 6 years ago. However, please remember, on July 4th we’ll still be giving away 4 Dope memberships and if **TubaDiva** doesn’t mind, I will let her know and she can tell y’all that the 4 winners have been selected. Thanks and see you sometime in the future. Quasi ---

Quasi, do what’s best for you. I hope your absence won’t be a long one. If you’re leaving only because you think you’re pissing people off, I hope you’ll reconsider. I greatly admire your willingness to openly discuss your Alzheimer’s, what it’s doing to you, and your efforts to fight it. What you’re doing is fighting ignorance, and that’s the highest accomplishment here. Any one of us, or someone close to us, could get the same diagnosis. I’ve found your posts to be both informative and inspirational. I am hereby founding the “Friends of Quasimodem” committee. The purpose of FOQ is to step in if and when someone starts dumping on you. Either the dumper doesn’t know what you’re going through, in which case they can be politely informed, or they’re a jerk and FOQ will come down on them like the hammer of Og. You’re too valuable to lose. ---
