Not to single you out, ASAKMOTSD, since I’ve run into this a couple of times recently, but there seems to be a perception that Canada is not as technologically-literate as other G8 countries. This perception is patently false; Canadians embrace technology like you wouldn’t believe. We had a federal government that made it their priority to make sure every part of Canada was connected to the internet (and that itself was an unbelievably huge undertaking - have you seen our country?), and our percentage of household internet usage is higher than that of the US and UK.
Canadian internet usage statistics, 2003 - 64.2 % of households are online.
U.S. internet usage statistics, 2003 - 58.7% of households are online.
U.K. internet usage statistics, 2005 - 59.8% of the population are online.
Just thought I’d nip that in the bud if anyone was harbouring false ideas.
