Yeah, I don’t get the refill on the large popcorn. I think I remember reading that a large popcorn is something like 1000 calories.
Technically speaking, one could suppose that someone is going to spend the day at the theater - seeing two or three movies. They could refill the popcorn/drink in between the movies.
I think I just gained some weight just imagining that scenario…

No, that is actually stealing and who knows how nasty the person who used the bucket was.
Taking event cups out of the trash? Sure. It should be illegal to make those, the waste is ridiculous. I’ve done it before to have nicer cups for camping and when the kids were little Culver’s used to have kid sized ones with heavy plastic lids.
If my kids go to a movie they always fill up the bucket and bring it home for me. I love theater popcorn.
Or if you are sharing. When I go to the movies with my wife and two kids*, we might share a large popcorn. We usually don’t finish it, but I suppose if you had older kids or brought more adults…
*Which we don’t do often, since a movie like Toy Story 3 cost over $50 for just the tickets.

If you rarely go to the movies, then neither paying $6 for popcorn when you go nor doing without popcorn while watching, would constitute a hardship.

I think he’s getting the milk and cereal in the cafeteria. Load up at the cereal bar, which many cafs have, then tuck some plastic cups under his shirt or in his bag, and there is balance in the Force.
No I never take food from the cafeteria except bananas (and that is ok because everyone does it)
And if they didn’t want you to take bananas, they wouldn’t put them out when they were still green

I would be very, very surprised if your cafeteria was run by the school. It’s almost certainly a food service company. Regardless of how you rationalize it, stealing their cups is unjustified. The bananas are probably covered in your meal plan unless there is a specific rule about not taking food out of the cafeteria.

Well it is encouraging to see most people in the poll do not steal.
“Right is right even if no one is doing it and wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it”. When you start stealing small things it becomes easier to justify stealing larger things.
