What would happen if I would use products like Rogaine and Propecia while I currently have a full head of hair? Would it get fuller? Would it prevent future loss? I have a rather large noggin, and although my father is fine, my grandfather loast most of his, and I am afraid I would look like an alien grey if I lost mine.

Actually, Propecia does not regrow hair that’s lost. If you are beginning to show signs of premature balding, starting it now may prevent some future loss. So, yes, taking Propecia may help you keep a good head of hair, but you have to keep taking it or you lose all you would have lost if you’d never taken it.

Doesn’t sound like a smart move, not yet anyway.

Do a search under my name. I posted a comprehensive summary of info on hair loss about 6 weeks ago.

> In the longest reported controlled clinical study of men with certain types of male pattern hair loss, 2 out of 3 men on PROPECIA regrew hair, as measured by actual hair counts over time. Whereas all men in the study taking a placebo (not PROPECIA) lost hair.

How about a compromise? Use Nizoral as your shampoo half the time. It helps as much as Rogiane for some users.
