She’s pretty much returned to her routines; I suspect by tomorrow she’ll be her lovable self.
We spoke to the vet again this afternoon. She said that the cat was under her desk in her office and when she looked at the cat, it growled at her. This is so out of character for her (the cat), that I can only assume that the poor thing was terrified by the smells and sounds, and the absence of her family. I feel doubly bad that she had to be terrorized and traumatized in order to have the tests done. In the name of not piling insult onto injury, we’ve canceled our week-long trip to the coast to avoid further trauma. She’s a good RV traveler, but I can’t see adding any angst.
I do have one cat that’s very friendly here at home, even with strangers, but she has to be sedated at the vet. Not my mellow boy Max, however. When I sit and watch TV, he HAS to be touching me and he lets me stroke his paws. God, I need a man in my life.
Q’itih (our cat) sleeps right up against me every night, but prefers my wife’s lap when we’re watching TV. She plops right behind my knees, usually. [del]If[/del] when I get up at night to use the bathroom, she moves into the warm spot; then we have to do the mattress shuffle until we’re both comfy again. I don’t have the heart to boot her off the bed.
