I concur. I remember reading a comment here on the board prior to Clinton becoming nominee, saying essentially “Clinton would be better than Sanders because she has the ability to get dirty, and take it to the GOP…”. I am not suggesting the Clinton campaign is connected with the release of this recording, but it was a perfectly timed and placed torpedo to the SS Trump - hard to argue otherwise. ---

It ends, wonderfully: _If Mr. Trump disagrees, if he believes that American citizens had no right to hear what these women had to say and that the law of this country forces us and those who would dare to criticize him to stand silent or be punished, we welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight._ ---

Or maybe someone had this in their back pocket and waited for the right time to “leak” it? And, knowing Trump, there may be more October surprises sitting in someone’s back pocket for the opportune time. It’s a little tough given Trump’s ability to create a shitstorm ---

Snopes has little outside of the timeline of the allegations, but an article in Jezebel suggests that this is a publicity/money grab by a sleazy d-bag named Norman Lubow, who used to be on the Jerry Springer show, and has a history of pulling stunts like this. If false (as I believe it is), and they run with it, it will backfire spectacularly. ---
