I was debating whether or not to post this, but what the hell… Jadis: “Can you believe I’ve been here for 8 hours and someone only NOW groped me? I was getting ready to ASK!” or something like that. At which point I promptly became person 2. And, I think, person 3 and 4. Finally, a good use for my alters:D There are some of you I could have spent a full week with. Hell, other than the people I’ve seen half a million times (and nothing against them, it’s just that the novelty has worn off slightly), I’da loved to spend more time with just about all of you. I guess it’s the curse of all dopefests that they have to end (and that there isn’t enough nudity or alcohol). And I am still adjusting to the idea that people want to meet me:) ---

I had fun. Did anyone else have fun? Too bad I can’t remember much of anything right now since I’m still suffering after-effects of the Dilaudid in the ER yesterday. Ed Zotti _spoke to me_. For like 5 whole minutes. Me. The new kid with the retarded screen name. He was so nice; he gave absolutely no indication that my inane attempts at meaningful conversation were making his teeth hurt. Of course, this was right after his “conversation” with **Superdude** , so it may have only been his gratitude that both of my hands were in plain sight and nowhere near his genitalia. I’d say more about the man’s kindness, but I understand the punishment for excessive sucking up is swift and severe. It was the only time all weekend that I wanted to be _less_ buzzed. ---

I’m soooo sad ☹ When I tried to get out of bed Saturday morning, I couldn’t. My back had spasm’d and I couldn’t move. I spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday laid up, alone with some pain killers and anti inflamitories to help ease the pain. I can’t believe I missed and appearence by **Ed Zotti**. I can’t believe I missed congratulating \*\* UncleBill and Geobabe\*\* in person. I can’t believe I missed tounge between \*\* Euty & Superdude\*\*. Man, oh man. I’ll be depressed about this for weeks to come. I gotta say though, I had a great time on Friday though! I wanna thank all of you for your kind words about the hotel accomodations. Since it appears that no one got kicked out of the hotel, we can plan on using them next time, there will be a next time, won’t there? Anyways, the drinks at the hotel bar with\*\* CRorex, Wisest Novel, Euty, Persephone, Superdude, iampunha, and about a dozen others\*\* were lots of fun. Dinner with **CRorex and yojimboguy** was great, thanks again, guys. If I had two brain cells working, I would have gone home then. It’s what I planned on doing, but no, I had to go to the Wild Goose, just for one more (If I had a nickle for every time I yelled that battle cry.) So, the Wild Goose, was loaded with people I’d not met before **Joey Hemlock, Billdo, Mr. Cynical, Ms. Robyn, ShibbOleth,** and again, about a dozen others - and some familiar faces \*\* Vile Orb, Jarbabyj, Manhattan, Miss Creant, Porcupine, UncleBeer and some others I can’t remember now. \*\* (Don’t be offended, please.) After a decent amount of time, I left the bar, **Wisest Novel** in tow, back to the hotel for \* just one more\* (Yeah, right!) I’m glad to see from his post above that he was nicely toasted too, cuz I sure was. When I woke up Saturday morning and realized I couldn’t move I tried to find my wallet for money for my scrips, and my wallet was gone. So if any of you can fill in that blank for me and give me an idea of where **my wallet** might be, I’d be forever in your debt. I’m glad you all had a great weekend and I’m going off now to be sad about missing Saturday & Sunday’s festivities. ---

First off, the whole weekend was great, organized enough to feel organized, with enough leeway to feel spontaneous, the perfect balance. There were so many new people to meet, a couple of old friends to see again, and the lurid comedy of two many beers without a helmet. My dearest **Sophie** , who talked me into making the drive to Chicago, for those who read this and haven’t met her, she is even more lovely in person than in the photos, difficult as that is to believe. It was great to hang out with her in Chicago since total strangers would come up to us and start conversations. Even if we couldn’t find the food. **Thinksnow** , charming, good looking, he always gets the girl, it seems, yet even the guys like him. Must be the kilt. Speaking of skirts, what a great couple **Geobabe** and **UncleBill** make. Not that I was using the rearview mirror to look up Bill’s skirt on the way to O’Toole’s. **CRorex** was hiding under the brim of his fedora in the Wild(est) Goose, trying to be shy, but was very interesing and now I have to make a point to find his posts. **Omni** was apparently to handsome that **Sophie** spotted him in the middle of downtown Chicago after only meeting him once. Not that I’m jealous or anything. **Manhattan** is the sort of person you just want to have a beer with. A warm smile and nature, he gushed over some sort of medicinal prints that were “really quite afforable”. In a Manhattan real estate sort of affordable way. **UncleBeer** couldn’t quite grinning. Of course **Porcupine** had a lot to do with that. Who could blame him? **Miss Creant** spotted me in the hotel lobby and actually remembered me from OhDope. How I don’t know, since I was wearing a full mask. Mr. Creant, er, Manservant Huxtable, er, **Mister Cynical** was a pleasure to meet. Couldn’t get enough of those **Chique** hugs. Go Gophers hockey, I owe you guys! **Inertia** was a great sport, we played many games of pool and jammed out to Skynrd. I was a little worried about him on Friday night when he lived up to his name and became an inert mass on the landing, but he survived to Dope another day. **Eutychus** was a chick magnet. And a **Superdude** magnet. Okay, he was, at least in personality, if not in look, exactly as I expected. Friendly, funny, flirty. **Ed Zotti** didn’t know me from Adam, but he did pose with the **FairyChatMoose**. I couldn’t expect much more than that. **Anya Maria** looked like a lost kitten and I wanted to rescue her, but she had more sense than that. **Tattva** was great, but Friday night I really wanted to buy her some socks. **ShadowFox** was regaling our whole El car with stories on the way to the Wild Goose. I was more than a little disappointed that **rjk** (hi Bob!) and **Zyada** didn’t come in and keep me company while I got dressed. Now I have to go find Carry On up the Khyber, or some such film. I spent a lot of Saturday night vainly searching for **Jane D’oh** , she really is a goddess! I hope that your back is feeling better and that we more of you at the next one! **Valerie** has some sort of obsession with moist, penetrated crotches that we couldn’t understand. And can carry one a conversation with an inanimate object like nobody’s business. But the best was when one of the non-Doper women at **VileOrb** ’s place fell totally in love with her at first sight. Speaking of **VileOrb** and obsessions, this guy has a thing for crows. And music. But I’ll most remember how disappointed he was that I wasn’t a demon he could add to his coterie. **Nen** could speak with his eyes, I swear it. What an intense look! Definitely on my list of people with whom to get into a quiet conversation. **Maeglin** was the coolest dressed Doper. Also had an intense look, as if everything he does is serious mischief. Must be an NYDoper thing. But **Pucette** didn’t fit that mold. She was more of the warm and cuddly sort. And so sexy that you’d forget that you already asked her 20 times where she lives (Harlem). If she hadn’t been magnetically attached to **JoeyHemlock** ’s enormous cranium, she’d have been beating the guys away with sticks. Speaking of **Joey** , this is the guy you most want at a houseparty. If your head can take the lumps. I was lucky enough to be in a **Boli** / **Gaudere** sandwich on the way to the houseparty. I shall dream of this always. **Boli** is beautiful, but there’s something about **Gaudere**. Maybe it’s the kickball games with the folks from the Playboy channel, but I think it’s something a little less tangible. News for you all: **Tiggeril** is not cute. Now that I’ve seen her without all of the Halloween make-up, I can officially say that. She’s sexy. You young single Dopers are missing out! Speaking of young, single Dopers, **Iampunha** was another chick magnet. Wonder why nobody plays with my hair like that? But at least **Persephone** played with my head. Which made my skin tingle, but I didn’t tell her that, 'cause she might have made me touch her breast again. I thought it best not to even start down that road in a room full of people. **CrankyAsAnOldMan** fooled me with her hair pulled up behind her head. In her LiveJournal she is always pulling out her long, beautiful hair. I didn’t understand her screenname until I read a few of her journal entries, but she’s charming in person. **Hamadryad** was not just lovely but hysterically funny in her parody of board humor. I fell in love with her glasses and her beautiful hair. I have to count **Vix** , **Sua Sponta** , **Magdalene** , **JarbabyJ** and **MikeG** , in the "people I didn’t get to talk to enough category. Maybe I was scared away by **Sua** ’s explanation of his screen name. **Vix** looked eerily like **Hama** ’s sister, but maybe it’s just me. Anyway, a weekend is not nearly enough time to get to meet all of these people. **Wisest Novel** ’s screen name is still a mystery to me, but he lived up to **Persephone** ’s billing. I hope to see more of him on the boards and not just in the “flirt threads”. **Dropzone** was cool, but I kind of expected him to be wearing a parachute. I was surprised to learn that **Gundy** was a beautiful, multiorgasmic Cubby woman. Even more surprised to learn that **Krusty Klown** was handsome and shy, but didn’t have big flipper feet and pointy red hair. We eventually did the preliminary work on what’s sure to be a Nobel Prize winning effort to quantify the female orgasm. **Tpoy nam** was very cool; he kept going on about how my user name forced him to learn something. Although he has to watch the beard style or some day he’s going to end up looking like C. Everett Koop. **lno** was another guy that the women were drooling about, but I was more about talking football with him. I can see that his fury burns with the rage of a buncha sons. **Crunchy Frog** was sort of the evil anti- **Maeglin** , at least in terms of dresscode. I wonder how long he would have waited for us in the parking garage if **Tequila Mockingbird** and I hadn’t gone up to find him. **TM** is rowwr. I’m sure I’m not the first to say this, but **Turbo** is one lucky dog. **MsRobyn** was sweet but seemed to be missing something important. I hope that the Air Force gets off their duffs and gets **Airman Doors** back near her soon! **Kyla** was a dancing queen, what a blast! We couldn’t understand why she wants to move to the upper midwest. Must be a **Quixotic** thing! For some strange reason I kept getting **Jadis** and **Jessica2** twisted around in my small brain. Maybe they were both too cute. Or maybe it was my twisted fantasies. In the people I missed category, I didn’t get to the Wild Goose in time to meet **CKDexterHaven**. And **Hamlet** was a no show, truly sad because we’ve interacted a bit on the Boards so I really looked forward to meeting him. Finally, and yeah, this all much too long, I have **Nymysys** phone number and I’m not afraid to use it. Who am I kidding, yes I am. But she is one of those rare beautiful women that makes everyone fall in love with her soul. If you can get past the stunning eyes and other parts. Sorry to ramble on so, even with all that I’m sure I missed someone. ---

I’m sorry to hear you were laid up (awful!) but glad to know it wasn’t some (a) disaster or (b) sudden realization that you hated ALL of our guts.
