Talk of Guiliani and an extended or third term: anyone else disturbed by this?

Damnit, anyone in power should be most circumspect in following the law. Without law there is no electorate, only dictators.

Well, here’s the latest. Great f’n debate by the way, folks!

Is this proof Americans are so quick to forgo our democracy and liberites in wake of terror? Is Rudy using his newfound clout for a power play? Tell us your thoughts on WSDMB-AM!!!

Rudy may be the hero of the day, that does not change the fact that he was a dictator in the past.

Erek

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Rudy is a dictator. I’ve always maintained that he’s a good mayor, might make a good president someday, but would have been a lousy senator. Can you see him building coalitions with people? Not likely.

And might I say, I think the “emergency powers” 3-month extension of his term is kinda weird. I’d rather just see term limits overturned altogether and Rudy run for a third term. Just b/c I want him for mayor doesn’t mean everyone else does; the voters should still have their say.
