Hi all!

Well, last night as I was changing out of my uniform, getting ready to leave work, I suddenly noticed a big knob on the medial end of my right clavicle. “That’s weird,” I thought, and as I looked at the rest of the bone, I could see more of the overgrown appearance up to about halfway along the length of the clavicle.

Well, I’m a bit of a med bug, so right away I wondered whether it might be Paget’s. When I got home I did a little reading up and every site I went to said that Paget’s does like the clavicle. At first I was pretty worked up, but as I read more, it seems that Paget’s is, while not a thrill, certainly not the worst bone disease you could have–particularly if it’s localized to the clavicle.

I have an appointment with my doctor on Thursday, but meanwhile, if there’s anyone out there who has Paget’s, or knows someone who does, I’d love to hear your real-life experiences.

Thanks!
