Ahem. I know we have some Michigan dopers here. (hello Cranky?). I’m an alum of the University of Iowa… Perhaps you’ve seen the current Big Ten standings? Perhaps you’ve seen the current BCS ratings? Perhaps you’ve noticed that the Hawkeyes have a legitimate Heisman contender in QB Brad Banks and a legitimate coach of the year in Kirk Ferentz? Perhaps you’ve noticed that if Ohio State defeats your fine Blue & Maize gridiron team this weekend…that THEY will tie the Hawks for Big 10 championship? This situation **could** deprive the Hawks of a much deserved trip to Pasadena (or better). Even if the Hawks go to Pasadena…it would be so much more gratifying to be sole champs of the Big 10. For all that is holy in this great land of ours, you cannot allow this to happen. Please. Kick some Buckeye ass this upcoming weekend. The Bucks have weasled their way to 2 close victories as of late…don’t let them get a third. Do it for me. Do it for BabyMaeve™ class of 2024. We thank you. ---

I’m from Michigan. Ann Arbor, originally. But I hate football, and I _really_ can’t stand U-M. But. One is required by law here to loathe Ohio State. So, once a year, I say “Yay U-M! Go team! Woo!” And stuff. And I’ll do it again this year, but this year, I’ll do it for you, \*\*beagledave. \*\* 😃 ---

I’ll do what I can, but U-M has a long habit of breaking hearts back in Ann Arbor. Of course, they also have a tradition of ruining Ohio State’s season. So. We’ll see. I find I’m must more interested in this game than any of the others. I’ve been seeking out news stories on the web–very unusual for me. ---

Ivylad is a huge Buckeye fan, as is his father. The Ohio State/Michigan game…I have already invited my MIL over to get her out of the house. Ivylad will be going over to his parents’ house to watch the game with his dad. Three hours of tension while they scream and groan is too too much. We’re going shopping. 😃 ---

**Elvis** , one game does not perfection make. 2-10-1. By the way, those were convincing wins over Illinois and Purdue. Really. As a devoted U-M fan, the best team I’ve seen in college football all year has to be the Iowa Hawkeyes. The fact that there is almost no way they’ll get to play for the national championship is a shame. ---

As a Notre Dame alum, I have to admit that I’ve been rooting for Michigan this season ever since our glorious win over them in September, solely for the quality win bonus in the BCS. Michigan beating OSU would help out tremendously. And there’s no reason that a team that’s squeaked by Cincinnati, Penn State and Illinois should go to Tempe. ---

As one who has spent much of her youth getting embarressed by the likes of Cooper and his ilk (Natch, those who can’t beat Michigan) having Tressel is like having a Gaurdian Angel. Well, these usually go toward Michigan State, but… How many OSU students does it take to screw in a light bulb? Only one…but they get four credits. I’m just kidding around, I love OSU, especially the school song. It 's not easy finding a word to rhyme with “Malt Liquor.” 😃 ---
