Alright so my roommate opened his mouth and struck a major nerve with me. We were watching Miami Ink on TLC and a big guy who was an art student came in for a tattoo and he made some comment of surprise about the fact that a large man was an art student. I was shocked. He’s an asian guy and I’m sure he’s faced racism either overt or subtle but he completely was size biased. I’m 6’6" and it really struck a nerve. So I’m looking to build a list of tall artists, actors, musicians to make sure he realizes that size really doesn’t matter for artistry. ---

First one that comes to mind is **Peter Garrett** , lead singer of Midnight Oil at about 6’6". Ryan Stiles of “Whose Line” is 6’4". ---

The late Long John Baldry was 6’7". Former art student Pete Townshend is commonly cited as being surprisingly tall (it doesn’t hurt that he’s always standing next to half-pint Roger Daltrey), although the only reference I can find gives his height as six feet even. ---
