Never would I have thought that these fuckers would win the Super Bowl. I almost fell over when Atlanta (Atlanta for God’s sake!) got in it. But at least they didn’t win. Christ. Tampa Bay isn’t even a real city! What happens next? The darkening of the sun? The coming of Elijah? Because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the Super Bowl Champs. It’s the end of the fucking world!😛 ---

Well. I can’t say that I was pleased with the result tonight, except that Oakland didn’t win, which made me happy. But why, of all teams in the NFL, did it have to be Tampa beating them? I spent the entire game hoping that somehow, magically, Sapp, Romanowski, and Al Davis would be involved in an exceedingly gruesome three-way collision, but alas, 'twas not to be. ☹ ---

So, umm, when does Oakland send the real football team? I mean, they already missed the big game and all, but damn, they are gonna show up eventually, right? (Did Gannon have a big bet in against his own team, and try to cover the point spread on the bet, or something, at the very end of the game?) ---

Now that they are out of the Central Division, I can admit that, yes, I’ve always been a secret fan of Sapp and Lynch. Those 2 deserve a ring as much as anyone in the NFL. And as a Minnesotan, Brad certainly held a special place. On the flip side, Groden makes me sick, and Gannon can be incredible. I wanted it to be closer, but I was 51% for the Bucs. I can point and say “Look…Denny Green got rid of Johnson, Christy and misssed Simeon in the draft. Now I can say with authority, that Denny was an idiot.” ---

God does exist. And he gave us his only begotten son, Bret Favre. I don’t know why God didn’t let the Steelers into the Super Bowl again. This has made me question my faith, o Lord… Let me down again in 2004 and I might have to resort to attending church services again. Whatever it takes. ---

Not everyday a heavyweight also holds a PHD. And he’s the best heavyweight prospect I’ve seen since Tyson burst into the scene – of any color. BTW, congrats to the Bucs – their D was simply overwhelming. ---

The Raiders didn’t learn their lesson when Baltimore spanked them 2 years ago in the AFC Championship- Big D beats Big O 9 times out of 10. They just kept piling on more O, thinking that would make the difference. I wonder if they’ll learn it now? ---

Just had to chime in with that, because I’ll probably never get to say it again. ahem… WE WON! WE WON! WE WON! Now that that is out of the way, yes, the city (at least St Petersburg, where I live) is going wild at this point. Fireworks, horns, random screaming. I don’t think we’ll have the traditional burning of cars and looting of businesses, tho. We’re _far_ too lazy for that. ---
