My understanding is that Mott the Hoople in the Manus novel was definitively anti-Hoople and feared his inner Hoopleality. The glam rock band named Mott the Hoople was non-Hoople until the band broke up and then each member slowly evolved into Hoople.
No members of Foster the People have applied to be foster parents. It’s moot anyway because no family court would place an entire society into a handful of musicians’ care.\*
\*Well, with the possible exception of the USA’s 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
