But in response to the OP, I’m guessing that what most people want (subconsciously at least) is a mouth that tastes like their own (and is therefore neutral, tastewise). ---

Water. My ex-gf and I had this thing about kissing in bodies of water. Fresh water is better, but salt is good, too. I miss that about her. By the way, **spoke-** , I agree with you about the grape. ---

I have a feeling that **struuter** ’s unspoken answer is the same as mine…I prefer that my partner’s kisses taste like my…um…you know. Not because I really dig the taste (altho it can be a real turn-on), but because if that’s what it _tastes_ like, it means she’s just finished me off… 😉 Anyway, according to the radio guy, full marks to **hypergirl** …minty kisses were the top choice. ---

ricepad, the reason I mentioned–or, uh, didn’t mention–what I did stems from a conversation I had with a guy friend a long time ago. He voiced sentiments much like yours, and basically added that he also found it exciting when a woman expressed interest in kissing after receiving oral sex. I’ve always considered kissing as a very intimate form of…tasting another person. So I suppose spoke had it right by saying that we like to taste ourselves. What you’re talking about just takes that one step further… (I can’t believe I typed all that. bad struuter. bad.) ---

Rattlesnake! No, really… when I was in college there was a brand of wine coolers out called Rattlesnake… don’t ask me I didn’t make it. But anywho, the girl I was seeing at the time liked that brand. They were very sweet and left a great taste in her mouth. ---

This isn’t really a ‘taste’, but kissing someone after they’ve had an ice cube in their mouth feels really neat. Other than that, fruity chapsticks are nice. ---

To answer to OP, I remembering hearing somewhere (one of those History of Sex specials on A&E that are hosted by the guy from Northern Exposure, I think) that men prefer the last of alcohol, and women mint. I prefer Pepsi. ---
