I’m hoping someone can satisfy my curiosity. I saw a girl with a tattoo I couldn’t figure out. Replaced with what looked like a set of corporal chevrons: [http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/images/cplrepro.jpg](http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/images/cplrepro.jpg) I realize it could just be someone’s personal idea but it seemed like it should mean something… but Google failed me. Any ideas? ---

That sounds like a fairly standard [shared lane marking](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shared_lane_marking), or _sharrow_. The bit about the missing seat and handlebars doesn’t quite match, but they aren’t too prominent in [some designs](http://www.cityofdenton.com/Home/ShowImage?id=5513&t=635641861810830000). My best guess is that the tattoo’s owner is a bicycling enthusiast who would like to encourage motorists to share the road.
