I’m a member of a forum group called UER. We are all about urban exploration. Cool site, and usually good people. Imagine my frustration when I logged into their chat room only to discover Tea Party Truthers. can there be any more irritating people on the face of the earth? I think not. Forget the guy who feels you need to feel the bass from his car when youre at a red light, or the guy who laughs like a braying mule at a movie, or people who text while driving. Someone who believes that the US is a strictly Christian nation, that mice have been bred with fully functioning human brains, and that 9/11 was a government conspiracy beats them out hands down. I wish I had wombat hackers some days just to get these people restricted from spreading their ignorance. They make the baby Jesus cry. So, in short, ON, you know who you are, and if you are on TSD…please, read some things and let go of the ignorance please. Sheesh…I can’t believe anyone would defend Christine O’Donnell. ---

I just noticed that the tea party members have pretty much overcome the whole ‘tea bagger’ name. For a while, it was used so often that even newscasters used it, apparently oblivious to the fact that that wasn’t actually their name. Now, hearing them called tea baggers seems…strange. Weird. ---

I do admit that teabaggers was funny though. It was the whole backstory and everything. You know? Them choosing it, and not knowing about the alternate meaning. I mean, that’s pretty funny right? ---

Also, I have many photos of people holding ‘Tea Bagging For Jesus’ signs. They did it to themselves, which is what makes the innuendo funny. It also shows that there is a huge difference between your use of derogatory language towards others versus me pointing out the innuendo inherent in their own choice of names. ---

It was their own name. They changed it once everyone realized the sexual connotation. Admittedly they changed it pretty quickly and mostly liberals carried it on but there’s a huge difference between coming up with a disparaging nickname for a group you don’t like and using their own stupid name. I don’t think any journalists would have used the name if it wasn’t the original term for their stupid movement. Commentators like Olberman or Maddow, sure, but not actual journalists. ---

I feel bad that Americans can now associate tea with extremists. I mean if an American says they’re going to hold a tea party, they could easily be misconstrued as being an ignorant dimwitted bellend, when all they mean is they want to share some sweet tea in dainty cups with a few friends! ---

ITs kinda too bad tighty righties suck at making up funny names for their political opponents, if they were any good at it, there would be more stuff to laugh at. Sadly, no. What have they got? P.J. O’Rourke and _Mallard Fillmore_. But all O’Rourke wants to talk about is how he used to smoke dope as a hippy but then he became a right-wing alcoholic, and he figures this is a step up. Huckabees pretty witty sometimes, but he’s crazy as a duck on acid. I’m not totally sure what a cramped and constipated sense of humor means, but I’m guessing its something pretty awful.
