I mean on the issue of corporate welfare. The Tea Party and the progressives have been together before, they worked together to kill the second F-35 engine, which was another example of corporate welfare.

Not imminently, but over time, yes.

Yes. There is never a truly level playing field in business. Some businesses have advantages over other businesses. Airbus is in no danger of destroying Boeing, and Boeing does not need subsidies.
I’m not really sure why I should care. If the EU wants to prop up its domestic industries that’s it’s lookout. Anyway, Im-Ex Bank assistance to Boeing appears to be incidental, since apparently it is focused on underwriting lending to small and medium businesses.

Cochran, unlike Cantor, could credibly mount an independent campaign if he loses the primary, I believe. I don’t think he’s appealing to black voters because he thinks it will help him in the primary. They aren’t going to turn out for him there. I think he’s testing his message for a general election campaign. If he could get even 30% of black voters to support him based on “delivering for Mississippi”, then he could win a general election.
