A long time ago, I read a complaint letter from an elderly woman who strongly objected to a magazine photograph of a young woman in a frilly dress and pearls. Think debutante. What was wrong with the photograph? It was lewd and obscene. Why? Pearls. PEARLS!! The woman had to inform me that pearls are frequently used in pornographic pictures to frame or highlight areas that should be covered by underwear. The picture of the young lady wearing pearls was, in her mind, an allusion to this teenager having sex, and it was highly offensive for a magazine to use that picture to titillate all those perverts out there. To adapt a phrase from Freud, sometimes a string of pearls is just a string of pearls, and sometimes oral contact with a scrotum is just oral contact with a scrotum. And **Doyle** , my friend, you needn’t read any more into it than that. ---

**Lance** , I broke your wiki link because it’s got a picture of a lady totally being teabagged by a dude, and therefore is not safe for work. I didn’t read it for the same reason, (I’m at work right now) but I take your word for it that the term predates _Halo_. ---

The term definitely predates Halo, but I never knew there was a sexual component to it. To me it was just nasty shit boys do to each other like farting in you hand and putting it in someone’s face. I should add that there were never any mouths involved, that would be undeniably sexual. ---

Basically, it sounds like the same sort of assertion that some folks make wrt oral or anal sex being only associated or predominantly associated with gays. What it comes down to is folks making these sorts of assertions are missing out on the fun that most of their heterosexual neighbors have been having all along. 😛 ---

There are vulgar terms than can be performed by heterosexuals, but are generally associated with gay activity: pole smoker, carpet muncher, etc. If I wrongly put teabagger in that category, my bad. ---
