Teabaggers mock man with Parkinson's

I get so tired of this shit coming from douchebags like you. There are approximately 80 million conservatives in this country. How many can you point to who ever engaged in any of this behavior? And don’t forget…wait for it…CLINTON GOT A BLOWJOB! - and from an underling no less. Plus he tried every way he could to ruin the lives and reputations of women he’d previously used and discarded or just plain showed his [del]ass[/del] penis to. And then there was the liquored up Teddy boy chasing some hapless woman around a pool table, IIRC. If you wanna claim office pursuit of women for sex is a behavior committed primarily by conservatives, you’re gonna have to cough up some really convincing data.

But having said that, do you really think you can blow off the tens of millions of people killed, and the hundreds of millions consigned to miserable lives for six decades, because a few hundred people were killed here by bigots, most of whom were Democrats at the time anyway?

Gool luck with that.

:smack: Damn it! I should have made a joke about them teabagging the guy.

I always think of these things too late.

Wow, the intellectual depravity on both sides. Not that I’m necessarily surprised; it’s just more marked when you see it “live.”

In other words, you think that every person who calls themselves a conservative wishes to harm, oppress or exploit others. That is truly amazing, and extremely sad.

I didn’t ask you about the people, I asked you about the viewpoint.

Both sides of the coin have done things they would rather forget. Apparently you are much better at forgetting liberal sins.

Of course, that doesn’t apply here, since I didn’t say anything like that.

The problem here isn’t the right wing position on health care.

The problem here is people with shit for brains who can’t see past their own stupidity and stubborness to have a reasonable dialog on the subject of health care. I know people on both sides of the debate who can argue their views passionately without lowering themselves to the kind of asshole behavior seen in the video.

It is equally true that there are assholes who live on both sides of the debate. Who we think the assholes are usually comes down to which side we support. But there are also the kind of assholes who nobody should be supporting. Like the assholes who were picking on the man with parkinson’s.

And if someone’s views more align with the so-called teabagger viewpoint, then you have to realize that every time the big assholes get air time for being assholes it only makes you look more retarded. So, even if the parkinson’s dude put himself in harm’s way, it was completely fucking stupid to take the bait.

I find it shameful that people need get up on their soapboxes with their ultra (right | eft) wing crap at the least provocation.

ETA:

Man, that just weapons grade ridiculous.

Most people aren’t well informed on issues so they join whatever soundbites fit their general point of view, whether it be liberal or conservative leaning.

Bricker, you have repeatedly made comments like this in several threads recently. I just need to let you know that it makes you sound like a whiny pussy.

It has led me to come up with a new saying, which I’m sure will catch fire:

“Conservatives think that liberals are bad people with bad ideas. Liberals don’t give a shit what people think about them because they recognize that standing up for principles and values is independent of whether people like you or not.”

You also forgot:

Gothic cathedrals
Europe’s first universities
musical notation
public hospitals
orphanages
“the first organized attempt to control civil society in medieval Europe through non-violent means”
the abolition of simony and the establishment of the principle of the separation of church and state

Yes, truly it was the very apotheosis of reactionary repression.

I disagree. When your point of view is “I got mine, screw you”, you are evil. Not all of us are equipped to compete in the rat race of society, some of us through no fault of our own are stuck in dead end jobs that don’t pay very well and have no prayer of ever getting benefits other than Medicare. To say, “Tough shit, if I help you then I won’t have so much so go ahead and die for all I care” IS evil.

This is just talk radio bullshit, not fact. You hurt your own credibility in trying to refute Der Trihs when you resort to crap like this. If you’re going to make a claim like this, support it with evidence.

Even if that were true (which it isn’t), what do you think saying it is going to do? Do you think anyone who isn’t crazy partisan, even liberals, will take you seriously after something like that? Are you actually trying to convince anyone, or are you just bathing in your own sense of self-righteousness?

So what you’re saying is that some people should starve, so that rich people can feel good about themselves.

Who gives a fuck about nobless oblige. Rich cocksuckers have a civic responsibility. The public has no obligation to indulge their desire to feel smugly beneficent. Without the government, there aren’t any rich people. I don’t give two shits about their feelings.

Nothing is stopping them from going above and beyond their civic duty by also giving to the needy. That’s what Jesus said to do. Pay your taxes and give everything else to the poor. There should be no rich Christians. It’s an inherent contradiction.

At what net worth and income level are you rich?

You and Der and Starving and Rand should go organize a Smug Parade…if you don’t kill each other first.

Why do people always raise this point like it’s meaningful or clever? What do YOU think “rich” means? I’ll go along with whatever you think it means.

I am interested in your numbers.
I think if you hold clear title on aircraft you are rich.

Define “fair share”. If someone makes $30,000 and another makes $300,000 and the first pays $4,500 and the second pays $45,000, I think that’s VERY fair. Yeah, I know you disagree.

Not only do I think that’s fair, isn’t that how things are?

If you don’t understand why we have a progressive income tax and how a flat tax like you suggest is bullshit, you should sit out this conversation.

:rolleyes:Unbelievable. My comments went solely to the concept of noblesse oblige that someone brought up. Specifically the degree to which the “giving” be voluntary. This has nothing to do with taxes and government safety nets.

No, my numbers are a crude representation of what would be owed via a flat tax. We have a progressive tax, which would skew the numbers more.
