# Teach me about life insurance

Thanks everyone for your input. I plan on making an appointment with an insurance agency sometime this summer, when I’ll have the money to do this.

FYI, you don’t necessarily need to go through an agent to get basic term insurance. For example, we used [SelectQuote](http://www.selectquote.com) to locate a plan that fit our needs. I’m not saying this to disparage insurance agents…just pointing out another option to consider.
