So what do you get if you take a 50 year old car in boxes, a half a dozen high school girls in an automotive restoration class, the internet, and a classic car auction? You get a world’s record price paid for an Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite at auction. [Team Sprite](http://www.teamsprite.com/index.html) I wonder if I could get them to do a car for me… ---

I had that car in college! Loved it on campus, but on the highway it took 20 seconds to reach 60mph, which meant you were often stuck a long time at on-ramps waiting for a good long gap to enter into. And when it rained the water streamed under the rag top snaps into your face. But it was so cool driving on campus. ---

Looks like it could be driven around in the bed of my pickup. I’m just glad there are still people that value old things and put effort into restoring them, rather than chucking it into the landfill and getting a new whatever. ---
