# Tech question: re Windows Media Player

My wife does something every once in a while on the computer involving videos and Quicktime is installed as the default media player for Internet Explorer.
I don’t like QT for various reasons. I’d like to restore Windows Media Player as the default media player for IE. But after pouring over all the help for both programs, I can’t figure out how to do it.
Anyone know what needs to be done?

P.S. - For files of type WMV, WMP does come up as the player of choice. But for MPG/MPEG files, QT is what is used.

In WMD, go to Tools \> Options… and click the File Types tab. The rest should be self-explanatory.
