> I can find it believable that an independent person has a strong interest in sinking Trump, so creates a PAC to take him down, and generates an ad campaign without consulting Cruz’s camp. Sure, it’s possible there is backdoor collusion too, but it isn’t unreasonable that they aren’t connected. Given how sleazy Cruz has been in this campaign (saying that Carson was dropping out when he wasn’t, his campaign flyers, etc), however, it is not unlikely that his campaign does have some connection.
>
> However, I find it less than credible that Trump has no connection to the National Enquirer piece. His denials are every bit as believable as anything else out of his mouth, as well. “I’ve been hearing rumors, I don’t know if they’re true, but it’s possible Cruz isn’t even a citizen. And Rubio, too. Heck, it sounds like maybe Ben Carson is really not a citizen, either. At least, that’s what I’ve heard, I don’t know.” It’s ironic that Trump calls Cruz “Lyin’ Ted” when he’s a much bigger spinner of falsehoods than Cruz ever hopes to be.
>
> I can’t tell if Cruz or Trump is the Democrat’s biggest boon in this race. One way or the other, it really feels like the Rupublican party is headed for a splinter.

Definitely. I too love Trump’s transparent “that’s just what I have heard” routine. He actually said “All I know is what I read on the Internet”. Were truer words ever spoken?

I see that [Neil Gaiman](https://twitter.com/neilhimself) tweeted a pic of his wife and kid in the past week. But most of the material I see isn’t like that.

Man, who the hell ever thought [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_K0sRkvX4KE) was a good idea? First of all, he willingly associates himself with two of the most unsavory characters on The Simpsons. But the worst sin is that he mangles all of his quotes in a way that completely removes the joke. I don’t get it, how hard is it not to mangle a quote on a pre-recorded video?

Some might see that as self-deprecating humor.

The Mr. Burns and Ned Flanders lines weren’t trying to cite jokes, just him portraying lines from them. The bit with Lisa and Homer seems to be a complete joke segment to me. The Kang segment is kinda weird, but is juxtaposing common politician remarks about looking toward the future, and in that sense works well enough.

It’s a very logical position if you accept the central premise that fetus = living human being with the rights of an individual. I do not accept this premise, being vehemently pro-choice, but it makes more sense to me than the standard no-abortion-except-for-rape/incest position, which is logically inconsistent.

I wasn’t real clear but I was referring to both **Rick kitchen** ’s post ref sharia in St. Paul MN and **running coach** ’s post about rape.

Your points ref fetuses are well-taken. Scary, but accurate. But that just moves the question to how such medieval thinking could exist in the populace at large at this late date.

It’s hard to take issue with the word like “sizable” since one can justify the term in many ways, however last I checked, a complete ban on all abortions including rape, incest and life of the pregnant person was a minority even among the pro-life movement.
