I really loved when he was on the Simpsons, as a candidate endorsed by Homer the right-wing-nut. Lisa tries to talk him out of it “Ted Nugent … sure we all love his music” Really Lisa? Really? I’ve been given to understand that voice recording of Simpson’s episodes is done on a piecemeal basis; the special guest voice typically not only doesn’t see the entire script, he (or she) never even meets the cast. ---

Traffic this morning was was fine on the freeway. Then when I reached my exit… total gridlock. Took me 45 minutes to travel the last 1/4 mile to work. It turns out the defense contractor around the corner went into Defcon 5 mode due to it being 9/11, and they were searching every single vehicle that was entering their compound. and they’re a _big_ company, with lots of employees, so the backup stretched a good half-mile in every direction. I assume that all employees were being given full body cavity searches as well, but I was already late for work, so I didn’t try to get close enough to look. ---
