# Ted Turner obviously never heard of Godwin's law

Hey, you think that’s bad - I’ve read in several threads, on this BOARD(!) where they equate the current administration to Hitler/Nazism - I know, what a bunch cooks, but there you go.

As someone who is not fond of the current administration, I really wish people wouldn’t do this.

Not only is it really fucking offensive to minimize the crimes of the Nazis - nothing Bushco has done is even scratching the surface of what the Nazis did - but it’s a great way to make the Bush administration seem nice in comparison. After all, bring up the names of someone who stuck Jews, Catholics, Gypsies, Queers, and the handicapped **into the ovens** , and suddenly imprisoning Arabs at Guantánamo seems like a rational move in comparison. Hey, fellow lefties: figure it out! Nothing Bush has done can compare to what Hitler did, so when you bring it up as a point of comparison it makes him look fucking innocuous in comparison.
