Hmmm… [RealDoll](http://realdoll.com/) or [MechaDoll](http://www.mechadoll.com/)? (NSFW. Who’da guessed?) Realdoll has more variety, but mechadoll looks to be better construction and detail. From a completely academic viewpoint. I’d never consider one. Really I wouldn’t… ---

Although I am a bit weirded out by the purpose of the dolls I really have to admire the construction. I had wanted to make a couple dolls for my nieces that were the same size they were and looked through various doll-making sites. I found one with a nice doll and pattern and decided that it was probably beyond my capabilities at the time. I wasn’t even looking at adding a wire frame, boobies or even a vagina. Faces are really hard to make, too. I can at least respect the workmanship that goes into making these. ---
