**Euty** , can I suggest you add [Stoid](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=1628391)’s essay to this issue/section of Teemings? I think it’s thoughtful, moving and would add a lot to the issue.

Wait . . . that isn’t a Bible verse.
Suffice it to say I am very pleasant surprised and thankful:) And I echo **Nocturne** ’s statement. Hopefully someone will get something out of it besides wondering what I do in my English classes.

That’s roughly how it looks in my notebook and on my [page](http://angelfire.com/va2/iampunha1/writing/911.html).
When I originally wrote it in my post, I didn’t properly enter the line difference and spacing. As I wrote it in my notebook, “and” rhymes with “stand,” though if people think it works better as “hate and rage?/Here we are now; here we stand” please leave it as it is:)
