Teemings : In the Wake of the Fire

Just posted comments from Shirley Ujest, True Pisces, Spiritus Mundi and robgruver’s digest of Tuesday’s chaos.

More coming when I can do it without starting to tear up inside.

Oh my. I’m honored.

Euty, can I suggest you add Stoid’s essay to this issue/section of Teemings? I think it’s thoughtful, moving and would add a lot to the issue.

Just posted Stoid’s piece and poetry from matt_mcl, Iampunha, and Nocturne.

I also set upon a guestbook. Sign in and leave your thoughts if you feel so led.

Thank you so much for including me. I’m really flattered… I hope y’all get something out of it.

I would first like to say I am totally and completely honored to be a part of this.

Prior to the recommendation by Elelle, I was just going to
ditto **Johnny LA’s **

Naturally, adding my own touch of: If I have said anything meaningful or coherent, it is pure coincidental.

Michael, you are a wonderful addition to the SDMB. Anyone who likes the Onion and refers to Americans as " We are the Cockroaches of Democracy" [sub]before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, click on his above url and read the letter. [/sub] is a-ok in my book.

Thanks so much for adding my piece. I hope someone gets something out of it (something good!).

Er, wrong Bible quote. What I meant to say was:

::jumps in his chair and hurts himself in the way down::

Wait . . . that isn’t a Bible verse.

Suffice it to say I am very pleasant surprised and thankful:) And I echo Nocturne’s statement. Hopefully someone will get something out of it besides wondering what I do in my English classes.

Not meaning to assign any noticeable manner of self-importance to myself . . .

Here the wound, but where the stained
mark from the blood of hate and
rage?
Here we are now; here we stand,

That’s roughly how it looks in my notebook and on my page.

When I originally wrote it in my post, I didn’t properly enter the line difference and spacing. As I wrote it in my notebook, “and” rhymes with “stand,” though if people think it works better as “hate and rage?/Here we are now; here we stand” please leave it as it is:)

A little late here, but I just posted a few new items; a piece by Pixellent and a wonderful poem by Xenophon41 which I think everyone should read.
