This makes it pretty clear the incident in the OP was not as it appeared.
MTV VP: Sorry, we don’t take unsolicited pitches.
MTV commercial: Premiering next week: Teens from da Hood. Follow Jaquan, Pookie, Paco, Hector, Joey Chin and Crazy Mike as they rob their girlfriends, beat up their grandmothers and sell crack outside of schools.
LOL.
All right then. So why, Jesus, did I click on that Pop Eater link? And then why did I click play? Now I’m watching an episode of this awful show streaming. Question: Why is Farrah’s mom trying to set her up with a gay guy?
I haven’t seen the show, but - at least she wouldn’t get pregnant again? ![]()
Well there’s that.
Okay, so I don’t think he ever said he was gay, but when Farrah’s mom was telling her that the guy is a hair stylist, I was thinking, “And he’s straight? :dubious:” Then I saw him and heard him speak and was like, “Yeah, no, he’s not.”
Farrah’s mom is uber religious and a bit ditzy to boot. I’m sure it didn’t even cross her mind that the hair guy was gay.
I enjoy “trashy” reality shows like Teen Mom, the Biggest Loser or Fatsploitation Documentaries. I also am going for a Master’s degree (M.S.), listen to informative history/science podcasts and am working on my rusty German skills. But that’s just me.
I hope to hell that the show is scripted and entirely fake; otherwise filming babies being neglected and hurt due to neglect is quite literally criminal.
Honestly, would anyone watching the show willing scour Youtube for videos of neglect?
Come on.
Edit…Sorry for the threadpooping, but this kind of show REALLY pisses me off.
Thank you for letting me vent, I’m done now >.<
Well, have you watched the show?
No. I opened the thread out of curiosity, but after reading about the baby falling off the bed and the water scalding <things that can happen to anyone without being abuse, I know that> I was disgusted. Sorry.
I’d say before you go claiming people who watch the show are condoning abuse, you maybe watch the show and see if there’s actually abuse first.
I did not say abuse, I said neglect. I recognize the difference, and again, going by what was said in the thread, I stand by my opinion that it’s a terrible thing to document as entertainment.
I presume that’s only a small part of the show, but still. No interest.
But yeah, that Farrah girl is pretty neglectful.
“He’s sweet, he’s a good listener, and he’s got a job! And you won’t have to spend money on getting your hair done!”
